At 2pm the Strawberry Thieves choir will be filling our stairwell with song!
The Strawberry Thieves are from London and have offered to come and sing to us on their way to the Raise Your Banners Festival of political song in Bradford. Their repertoire draws on modern songs, as well as the wealth of political song which chronicles the history of struggle over the centuries, both in Britain and abroad. They will perform a special concert of poetry, prose and songs to tell the story of workers' struggles from 1649 to the present day, linking historic events to current efforts to resist cuts and privatisation.
Admission is free; light refreshments available during the interval.
