Britain Loves Wikipedia is a month-long competition being held in museums nationwide during February. The competition encourages the public to photograph treasures in museums and galleries, actively involving them in digitally recording the collections. All of the photos entered will be made available under a free license on Wikimedia Commons, and can then be used to illustrate online Wikipedia articles.

If you would like to come to the Library to take a photo, contact us on enquiries @ wcml.org.uk to make an appointment.  We have a list of items which might make suitable illustrations for Wikipedia articles. You'll appreciate that for conservation reasons there are some items which it will not be possible to photograph.

Further details of the competition are available here.
