On Saturday 21st November, the library is holding an event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Miners' Strike, one of the most important industrial disputes of the 20th century in Britain.

Speakers include a former miner who worked in the Agecroft Colliery, and Granville Williams, editor of Shafted: the media, the miners' strike and the aftermath.

There will be discussion and refreshments too. Why not join us earlier and attend the Living Library event too?

This event is free and open to all.
