Liberation! - an LGBT History Month Event
1.30pm-4pm, admission free, refreshments available
Join us for an exploration and celebration of lesbian gay bisexual transgender history through the fascinating collection at the Working Class Movement Library.
Using live music, art and performance with singer /songwriter Claire Mooney, political cartoonist Fanny Cattran and readings from the works of Oscar Wilde and Edward Carpenter by Royal Exchange actor Jonathan Keeble, we will transport you back to the Victorian drawing room and to the hot political climate of the 1970s to contrast and discuss the gay and lesbian struggle for identity and to give a tantalising glimpse into our inspirational Library.
Bring nothing but an open mind.
